Reefing009
Got a Fluval Evo 13.5 for $100USD when it’s on sale. Immediately upgrade most of the equipments since I will be keeping corals in the near future. I had a 65G SPS reef tank for 5+ years before and call it quits last year since I don’t have time anymore and the tank was neglected. I got the itch again and decided to get back in with a nano reef since it’s smaller and doesn’t take long for maintenance. This time around I’m automating as much of the tank as possible to prevent making it feel like a chore. Equipments: - Hipargero LED 60W on a mechanical timer. (Soon to pick up a AI Hydra HD this sunday) - Stock return pump, although I have a cobalt maxi jet 1200 that I could use but for now the stock pump is sufficient. - Aqamai KPS (Picking up a Vortex Mp10wQD this Sunday) - Intank chamber 1 media basket - 100 watts cobalt heater - Eheim automatic fish feeder - Autoaqua nano ATO - Dry rock with some live rock rubbles - 20lbs live sand Tank has been up for 2 weeks. Live stocks includes 2 oscellaris clownfish, 2 blue legged hermit crabs, a few pulsing xenia (eventually have to pull them because these will grow like weeds but I like the pulsing action). Will add more fish/ corals as tank matures. 3 Quote Link to comment

Reefing009
Just did a 2 gallon water changed yesterday. This marked 3rd week since this is up and running. All the parameters looks good. pH is consistently at 7.8-8.0, Mag is a bit low at 1120 but I got some Kent Magnesium coming to help raised that up. Nitrate is 2.5-5 after the water change. Phosphate is ultra low to undetectable. -Added some corals. A pink/red Montipora Cap, one head of basic hammer, orange ricordea, gsp, classic watermelon, green dragon eyes, gold paly, and orange bam bam zoas. Everything looks good and open. Here’s the pictures dump, will get a hold of a filter for my nikon so I can take better picture under these blue lights. Quote Link to comment
Reefing009
Picked up the AI Hydra 26 HD, over kill for this tank but gonna set it at 10-20% lol I need to find a way to mount the light. The mp10 is a lot bigger than I expected for this tank but it’s a solid pump and I can control it better. Overall, the light quality is 100% better than the $60 amazon led light. The corals looks better. Will upload pics later! Quote Link to comment

Reefing009
I’ve added a few more corals. 3 cheap sps mariculture frags. They’re doing good so far. I was so tempted to get in on the ASD 40% sale but decided not to risk loosing $300-400 worth of corals since my tank is too new. I’ve added a cleaner shrimp and and a yellow watchman goby last week. The goby I have not seen since the first day I’ve added it to the tank. I check all the surrounding area on the floor and does not see him there so I’m think he must have find himself a burrow in the back of the tank. Here are some more pictures! I have videos of my tank on instagram if you guys want to check it out. tien_the_reefer 2 Quote Link to comment

Reefing009
I’m still alive!!! Lol Been busy with work but the tank is trucking along. I might have some zoa pox. But I’m keeping an eye on the issue before going ahead and dip the affected frags in furan 2. Here’s a update picture! 2 Quote Link to comment
