No nitrites, tank has been fully cycled for a bit now.  I was really careful with my cycle as I was moving livestock from another tank that I wanted to keep.  It also gave me the time to make sure it was completely cycled before moving anything to new tank.  Nitrates I have now are from feeding and CUC poops  🙂

edit— just saw you were talking about back in August.. I follow you now!  Sorry!

Sorry I’ve been MIA for a couple months!  Life got busy!  Tank is a few days under 5 months old now.  It has been cruising along.  I had decided to leave it alone until after New Years, just doing water changes and cleaning.  I did have a couple more bacteria blooms.  Kept happening after feeds, stopped using reef roids all together (wasn’t using much to begin with), but that seems to have been the cause.  So putting that one on hold, may try again after I hit the 6 month mark.  Just feeding LRS nano to the corals that’s like meaty foods and all seems to be well.

FTS from this morning

Here are my two new additions!   Finally have a couple of little fish.. little YCG and a pink streak wrasse!!

The fish both came from a place called Quarantined Marine (https://quarantinedmarine.com), which was recommended by @Humblefish on his forum site.  This is a very similar set up for buying pre-quarantined/healthy fish to what Humble has been doing himself.  I have to say, I am so SOLD on this concept!!  Fish came in healthy, fat, and eating like little pigs within 24 hours!  Process was super easy and the guy who owns it communicates well!  If you are in the market for a new fish, I would highly recommend!  (Of note, he is on a dive trip for 2 weeks, so may want to wait to get in contact at the moment.. it’s a one man show!)

Plans for the future..
- I am headed to Orlando at the end of the month for a little staycation in my home state.  Will be hitting up WWC’s new shop!

- Also thinking about rest of future stocking plans for fish.   I still very much want one of those little Pygmy Filefish.  I was also thinking Tailspot blenny to round it out, but now I’m second guessing that choice.  Other than the handful of bacteria blooms, this tank hasn’t had a ton of uglies since the units diatom phase.  I don’t have a ton of algae at all.  Still having to supplement my big Orange chestnut snail.  So, I’m thinking a blenny may not be super happy in my tank... and with my work schedule, I don’t want labor intensive feeding processes.  So, still thinking fish stocking list.  Open to suggestions!!   Just no clowns/damsels, looking for peaceful citizens.

New little addition to tank in preparation for a little out of town Florida staycation at the end of the month.

Reef Cam-  Its tiny and unobtrusive and already kind of addicting!  Best little 25$ camera a 6$ mount!!

Digging the night vision too!  It’s way better than sitting in front with a red flashlight!
