MarioDeMel
I'm thinking of adding seachem Denitrate or Refugium with Chaeto. What would be the ideal to run with Seachem Matrix. Quote Link to comment
bpipher
So you're using Matrix and planning to either do a refugium with chaeto or add seachem denitrate somehow? Denitrate is just bigger matrix, by the way. Depending on the size of your setup it will really depend, especially with how you plan to do either of these, but in general any type of refugium with chaeto is probably going to be better. As the chaeto grows and you toss clumps of it out you'll be removing whatever the chaeto was using the grow (nitrates, phosphates). This can require a good bit of it, and if you can manage this it should do okay. The Denitrate is only going to remove nitrates at most, really, and is going to need some careful placement to ensure it is fostering anaerobic bacteria. Do you have a sump? Quote Link to comment

Tamberav
Fuge for the benificial bonus critters like pods. Don't drive nitrates too low. They are needed for coral growth and health. Quote Link to comment
