Also If I use live sand will it need feeding straight away or can I leave it for a week (whilst away on holiday) without food, in a new tank with the above rock and salted water, before cycling it with dr Tim’s ‘one and only’ when I get back from holiday! seabass Posted August 17, 2019 Share Posted August 17, 2019 Packaged live sand doesn't need feeding, and the bacteria will be fine for a week while you are gone. I'd probably dose the One And Only prior to leaving, so that it can take hold while you're gone. Quote Link to comment
