Joe_D Posted August 14, 2019 Share Posted August 14, 2019 So I was CONSISTENTLY getting 11.3 on my hanna checker and I check my alk every 2-3 days. i have noting but SPS and some chalice/cyphastrea My Neptune Trident came in and it kept giving me a consistent reading of 12.5. I kind of figured that considering I just keep my ALK with my salt (RSCP, 11.5 at 34ppt) the hanna was ON, and it was the Trident off... HOWEVER, I tested a batch of new water from my RSCP on Trident and it read in at 11.8 (this is about within the margin of error, AND obviously there could be some variation in the salt). I tested new batch with Hanna and it was 10.9.. Once again. 1dkH off.. So chances are, it was my Trident on and my hanna, albeit consistent -- low.... Anyone else have experience with hanna checker testing lower? Quote Link to comment
