Indoor Plant Racking/Hydroponics Setup

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I know there's a lot of overlap between the reef/plant/reptile communities so I thought I'd get some ideas for an more "intense" indoor plant setup. (going beyond your typical succulent on a string).

I was thinking of a 2-3 tier rack (3-4' long) with a removable tray for water/dirt/leaves and a back bar that I can mount lights to. I'd likely have some type of barrier to protect the wall behind the setup as well.

This is for a large apartment that receives a negligible amount of natural light. I can't setup a 180g reef tank in the living room due to cost and one-year lease but I thought a legit flower/plant display would be pretty cool. This is going into a carpeted living room so I'll have to be careful with mess.

What are your suggestions for anything like this on the market? Any similar setups you've seen in the community? Thanks!!
