Portunus species, (I think) but I don’t know which one. Little hand here?

Nice looking crab. Definitely an “evil” crab not reef safe etc...

Florida seagrass resident.

The species should be listed here:

https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/358b/d1bde25d1b44476cce9b1b36afa3e697ef67.pdf

So just do me a favor and google image a few hundred of those until you find it and let me know. Worse comes to worse if  you can't find it when you are done let me know and I will submit it as a new species and take full credit. Thanks Nano Reef!

Likely whatever he can get away with. These types of crabs aren’t picky. He eats pellets here.

I think a section of the site called “unsafe reef experiments” is needed 😂

Oddly enough the clown grab has been reef safe for me if you don't include paly's. He hasn't touched my other softies/LPS/SPS or any other small fish/inverts.... but man when I dangle a paly in front of his face... he comes running for that dinner bell!

I am always up for a science experiment. This hobby has so many people and with video technology... we can find out so much more about so much about species behavior.

That is one of the coolest crabs that I have seen, very much like tamberavs clown crab. You thinking about selling him? If you do, I definitely will take him😂
