I bought a coral I don’t no what it is, the man at the shop said it was a blasto I said to hi it it wasn’t but he persisted and told me it was, he owns a shop so who am I to argue an tell him it wasn’t, i thought blasto’s where wider flatter, this is like a hard tube, please could some one identify and along with the name any information on light, flow etc,,, would be great

Looks like a trumpet coral to me. 😊

Thanks for your reply’s I will have a look at the trump corals soon, 

The picture at the bottom is a good one to see the coral in question

There with out the blues, has anyone got any more ideas on what this could be, hopefully it will be fully open tomorrow it been in 24 hours now but you never know with corals,

Yer so it’s strechi g to get more light maybe it was out of a poor lit tank now it’s under the prime hd a will give it a week or so let’s see how a good light treats it  have you got any information about these corals just in case it is one of the ones you said because the guy sold it to me as a blasto

Has anyone found out what these are, I want to believe there blasto but I am really not convinced, if they are does this mean I have a mutation or something

Are the stalks hard like a skeleton?

I think your right please could yo give me any information you have on these corals, 

the stems look very similar and they have the green tops, I am definitely leaning towards trumps

Moderate light, moderate flow. Too much flow can rip them because of the sharp skeleton underneath.
