BRS rox carbon with a little purigen mixed in. It's better then chemipure imo and cheaper so I can replace often if I want.

Chemipure is just paying for convenience of something bagged and ready to go.

I just use carbon, changing every 3 weeks or so. A few tablespoons in a bag, and that is all. Mix your own, what Tamberav said. Easy to add it when you need it.

Why do you want to add it to your media basket?

I may be using the wrong words" media basket".  I'm talking about a basket I made in place of the sock that comes with the im nuvo 10.  Was wondering what was best for a nano reef to help with phosphates and other harmful stuff.

So you can mix the 2 into the same bag?

I ran blue but pulled it because my tank was too clean. It's far easier to make a tank too clean rather than too dirty in my experience, as long as you do waterchanges and/or have decent export.

Now I only run carbon(and no other chemical filtration) once a month for a week just to polish the water and remove any possible contaminates.

Looking to add something to my filter basket.  Wondering what you guys use?

Ideally it would be empty because you don't need anything.

What is the problem at hand which is making you want to add something?
