Nitrates still high in seahorse tank after 25 percent water change

Noticed my seahorse tank spiked nitrates and did immediate 25percent water change....checked nitrates again 40 mins later using jbl combi set test kit and still showing high nitrates at around 30ppm....

Should I dilute more or wait for the tank to get a grip?

I have just done another check this minute and no change.

Dont want to stress them more than necessary but not willing to lose them at the same time.

Unsure what else I can do other than water change at 10.45 PM

HELP PLEASE!

My nitrates usually run between 25-50. It's not ideal, but they will be fine. If it were me, I'd wait a day or two and then maybe do a 50% change - which in theory should bring them down to 15 if they're at 30 now. They'll be ok 🙂

Thank you for your reply x

What you say makes sense as they dont seem stressed in the slightest so I will just change water again tomorrow and go from there.

Maybe do a further 50% change the day after or so if still reading that high.

Thanks for the help!
