c_man7
I'm planning on setting up a saltwater tank with my 33gallon 48x12x12 tank. Right now its not drilled. I'm really only planning to keep a pair of maroon clowns and a fu manchu or dwarf fuzzy lionfish. Would it be worth drilling and adding a 10g sump? Just enough to hide equipment and maybe a small fuge. I'm trading my fresh water set up for a 48" current usa pro loop system 2 led strips, and 1 660 and 1 1050 loop wavemaker. I wasn't planning on doing any high end corals originally but shouldn't have a problem doing so with this set up correct? Plan to get the SC Aquariums SCA-301, had good luck with it previously, and the coral box ATO from Reefbreeders Few questions, My last system I ran an eshopps eclipse S now I see Marine depot has a similar setup for alot cheaper, anyone run it? For my return should I run 3/4" or 1/2", plan on running the Jebao dcs-2000 As far as stocking does that look like a decent setup or would it be possible to keep 1 more fish around the same size? I might consider replacing the maroon pair with a snowflake eel. 19 hours ago, c_man7 said: Would it be worth drilling and adding a 10g sump? Just enough to hide equipment and maybe a small fuge. How 'bout a 20 long? Quote Link to comment

I'm considered an eel but I'm pretty set on getting the maroons the most, but I do want a lionfish. I'll wait a while to get the lion till the clowns are a decent size. I had an empty 10g already that i was going to use. Getting a 20 long would be a pain to get into the stand and would have to go before the display and would be impossible to get out afterwards Quote Link to comment
seabass
An adult female maroon is a large and aggressive fish. At least to me, it seems like a 33 gallon is pushing it. Quote Link to comment
