FISHnChix
So I have these little white dots on my torch coral.. I'm not too sure what they are.. for awhile the coral didnt seem phased by them. Now it's not opening up as much as it should... any ideas what these are and how to get rid of them??🤔 Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Please post a little about the tank's history, including the latest test results for alkalinity, calcium and magnesium as well as nitrates and phosphates. Quote Link to comment
FISHnChix
New tank about 9 months in now.. params are fairly stable bc I'm dosing brs 2 part.. alk 8.3, cal 425, mag 1300. Weekly wc of about 15 percent or so.. all other corals are doing well(well I cant seem to keep sps alive to save my life but my lps are doing great)..I dipped the frag in bayer yesterday and today its already opening quite a bit more.. any idea what the little white bugs are??  Oh and if you are bored and want more detail in the tank here ya go.. 😊  Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Not bored, but I would be interested in the nitrate and phosphate levels you're keeping.  Sounds like C, A and M are good if those numbers are pretty consistent week to week/month to month.  These corals, like most in general, aren't very susceptible to bugs....so worrying about basics first makes sense. Unless you've seen a "bug" crawl then I don't think I'd worry about whatever those dots are. (Shut off the pumps and watch closely if you haven't already...)
