Hey guys, few weeks ago i bought an open brain and when I got it, the skeleton was hard, rock like. Just moved it around and noticed when i picked it up, the once rock like structure is growing a really soft and orange exterior. Is this a natural stage in the growth of a trachy?

Actually you want them soft and inflated. They inflate themselves  with water and expand daily and at night you should see feeding tentacles .They need to be feed whether it's nutrient rich water or brine shrimp.

Its usually inflated,  just noticed the corallum is growing a soft orange-ish tissue, feels like the polyp itself. When i had placed it in my tank, the corallum was hard, felt like a rock.
