KeriS
Hello, I am turning the marina 20 gallon tank I’ve had for a few years into a saltwater aquarium, and I’m plannning on turning it into a reef tank with Softies and LPS corals. It came with a hood light that has space for one t5 fluorescent bulb. Will getting a marine glo bulb for it be enough? The bulb is 18” long. I’m also wondering if it’s not, if there’s two smaller LED lights I could some how mount to the underside of the hood that would make up for and lack of lighting I would have. Ig you have suggestions let me know. And ideally I’d like to have more affordable options around the 100$ mark. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
I don't think 1 t5 bulb will be enough. You'd have to get a retrofit kit or diy leds into the hood. The other method is going without the hood and using all LED lighting. Quote Link to comment
