ReggieTheReefer
Alright, so everything has been going fine, I didn’t my first filter maintenance yesterday and goofed. I used tap water to rinse my media and foam. (Tidal 75 gal filter) I replaced my carbon with ChemiPure Elite. my water is cloudy. my levels are good and I’m hoping to be nearing the end of the cycle. I have lots of copepods, 2 clowns and 3 chromis 4 peppermint shrimp, and about 5 snails. its a 55 gallon tank. hopefully that’s enough info for you pros to help me find some peace. is this cloudy water gonna go away? frahny
was it cloudy before you rinsed the media? Sounds like a bacteria bloom and should go away. 1st rule of reefing don't use tap water. Use old tank water from the change to rinse stuff out. Quote Link to comment
Matteo
A little bit of tap wouldn't do anything though.. 1 Quote Link to comment
