Legendary Corals
Hey reefers,

Darwin here! So I guess it's time I start one of these threads. Been taking photos non-stop the past few years and there's a good amount of photos to share. Been posting photos daily on my social media outlets, but thought it would be nice to share on the forums as well.

This will be a great thread for me personally to see my photography skills develop overtime, and also to look back and cry about the corals I used to have/ kill over time.

If you reefers have any questions, feel free to comment and I'll try my best to reply here! Or if you know the answer to some of the questions posted, feel free to reply back!

Starting off with a couple of recent shots. I'll dig through my Flickr for some older stuff.

Photo set up as of 2019:
Canon 6D Mark 1 - Full Frame DSLR
Canon 100mm Macro Lens w/ IS
Building an Obsession Porthole
Lightroom Classic
ATI T5s (4 Blue Plus, 1 Coral Plus, 1 Actinic) w/ Kessil 360 for spotlighting corals/ frags.

Legendary Corals
A few rare frag tank shots, hoping to be more consistent with these. Went on a fragging spree about a month ago and everything's healing up so well. Decided to ditch the micro-cones I've been using for years for regular 3/4" plugs and the zoas are just loving it! I think it has to do with the large surface area that they can grow on instead of growing out on a small plug and then pooling downwards more quickly. Sort of like growing a plant in a small potter vs a larger one?

I have always always always loved your selection of Zoa's !!! Always having the best of the best and great prices. One day I will put in a order Darwin,I promise.

But on real note, what do you feed those amazing zoa's ? I'm glad to see things primarily grown under T5's 👍

Thank you for the compliment! When you're ready, let me know! If you subscribe to my newsletters, I do have exclusive giveaways and coupons.

I just feed them fishy poo. Most of the zoas are actually grown under MARS LEDs.

Darwin,

Among so many online sellers, you have, on average, the highest quality photos on your sell corals.   Because of those vibrant, vivid, attractive photos, I have just spent couple of hundred dollars on your Summer Time Mini-Sales.  Awesome corals! Awesome photos!

p.s. I am still waiting for my new Waterbox 20 Cube.  It has been back ordered for over 4 weeks though Waterbox Aquariums says 3-4 weeks wait time.  I have gotten a bit impatient.

Thank you Tong, this means a lot! It's been a work in progress, I try to get better with each photo I take! Wait until you get them too. Your corals are just growing in the mean time, hopefully your new aquarium comes soon!

We're not sure which variant of "Bowser/ Candy Apple" this one is, but we're in the love with the color schemes! Those vibrant green tips and yellow speckling across the face really make them stand out.

"I told you so!" lol😂.  Darwin, those are some freaking awesome corals and photos.

p.s. Fedex kinda messed up their pre-schedule a bit.  Still eagerly waiting for your Fedex delivery. Hopefully, will get your corals delivery soon today.

This is their brand new house - a Waterbox 20gallon Cube
