Haha... you always seem to want to ratchet up the degree of difficulty.

Anymore, I try to keep things easy peasy.

Yeah I know. Also seen Arrow/Engineer Gobies. Want an Eel also. ..   lots of wants. Very few of them make it to purchase.

Lucky on the hitchhikers! My LFS actually had an eviota goby show up that they hadn't ordered, it came in on some coral rock.

Did you ever manage to trap them out? If not, a bottle trap should get 'em pretty easily, though I'd keep an eye on it because it might also trap your other fella. It wouldn't hurt them on its own, but I don't think them in a bottle with your surprised hamster is gonna go too well.

Yeah it was really easy. They came to the surface when I was feeding and I scooped them into a cup. Was the same for my Firecracker Goby.... I imagined hours of hunting and ripping out rock but no

Looks nice and clean again this morning, always good after the weekend. Still none the wiser as to why my Blenny has decided to become massively shy again

By any chance, do you have a cat? If your fish keeps getting shy temporarily, could be something is scaring it.

I have multiple pets. I have no SW tanks at home though.

This one is in my office behind my chair, before I went away for a week he would perch on the HOB's pump and watch me all day long, since I have been back he just hides under the rockwork. I cant just see his tail when i turn around.

Is it possible that someone scared him by tapping on the glass?

Alternately, I wonder if he no longer recognizes you as the food-bringer. Fish can definitely learn to recognize people, but I'm not sure how long a blenny can remember a face. Or maybe someone who looks like you (or sounds like you, or otherwise sends whatever signals a fish uses for human identification) scared him, and he thinks you're scary now.

I guess it's possible while I was off. If I was in and see that people get an electric fly swat to the earlobe.

Thinking about picking up a Damsel still

Well as I was late in this morning I decided to pop into my LFS and pick up a Blue Damsel. S/He has been acclimated (temperature) and scooped and released into the tank. Only been a hour maybe a little over and both are now out and swimming in the space towards the front of the tank

You can just make out Cujo on the rock under the hammer

Oh, cute! That's actually what I was going to suggest. For whatever reason, the damsels with blue-colored bodies (excluding yellowbelly devils) seem to be less aggressive than others. I used to have a yellowtail blue damsel, and he just claimed a large conch shell as his territory and left the rest of the tank alone. He would also smack things with his tail instead of biting them much of the time, if they did get into his territory. He didn't know how snails worked, so it was funny to watch him biting their shells and completely failing to deter them from his house.

My springers likes to evict ceriths from his caves, grabs them by their shell and spits them out at the tank glass. Every once in a while you hear a plink and know the little bugger is in a mood.

Oh and I'm assuming you grabbed a cyanea, they get fairly large sometimes, a few can hit nearly 4 inches, on average they stay below 3ish but they can get pretty mean as they age and they live a long time. Hopefully yours isn't too moody.

Cute, I have seen him following a Hermit across the bottom so far. Otherwise the Damsel and Blenny are chilling in Barnacles and go for swims together occasionally

@Amphrites I picked up a CHRYSIPTERA SPRINGERI (Royal Blue) as Max Size stated was 2"

I hope

Well it seems that despite not putting a lot of reading in about background (namely accuracy for the Biotope ☺) I am a right jammy sod.

So that gives me in total. Cujo the Goldstreak Blenny, Hantu the Clownfish and this Royal Blue Damsel.

Not seen Benny for a while. Not shocked at that as think its settled into nocturnal feeding since being moved to the "bigger" tank

So for the 34G I want to add 2 more fish. But I want to keep it Indo Pacific 😎

I wanted a Royal Gramma and McCosker's Wrasse for the bright colours. But not from the region. I could get a "False Gramma" (Royal Dottyback) but Wrasses I'm coming up empty. @Snow_Phoenix help

Aren't flasher and fairy wrasses Indonesian? I think they might prefer a bigger tank though, I'll defer to those with more experience on that one lol. Seems that the fairy and flasher wrasses can become extremely aggressive in smaller tanks, so probably not great options for the 34g.

I found a thing, not bad for phone browsing...

I was concerned with space and still being a small tank, that site is amazing though. Wasted at least 2 days on it so far

Thank you so much

I read about a 120G (I *think) tank online dedicated solely to wrasses. It was beautiful. So many fish though!

I would love that, ok so have been searching online for people who might have these fish and think that I am more than likely to go with Cirrhilabrus Solorensis (Koi Dwarf Parrot Wrasse/Solar Fairy Wrasse), would love the Randalli but looks well out of my price range

Is this a Wrasse? Everywhere I have seen it listed as a Dwarf Parrot Fish?

Parrots are completely different. They are larger, meaner and not reefsafe. That is a type of wrasse - I have seen my LFS sell it. But usually one specimen at a time because it is expensive.

Well my Damsel found the smallest gap in my lid and was crunchy on the carpet this morning. Slightly annoyed by this BUT it does resolve an issue of comparability when I move things to my 34G. Other than this, the tank looks so much better than the Pico (IMO) I do have a slight issue with Algae;

20190916_093252.thumb.jpg.6d8b7f6591c6bfc94f15e2d69fd9f801.jpg

but I feel that I have figured out the causes and have started to treat the issues together. I would still like some in the tank just not at it's current level.
