Pretty much lol, just don’t have the Red Sea led and I’m happy with my hydra 26. If I do get a new light it will probably be one of the new ecotechs. The next red sea product I’m waiting for is the reefdose, they sure like to tease people and keep them waiting for new products to hit the stores. It’s between that and the versa

How have you been getting on with the Red Sea ReefWave 25? I'm about to buy a Red Sea Reefer 170 and have the ReefWave 25 on my list also.

 

Not sure on the white or marble cabinet yet though! I was set on the marble then I saw yours - looks awesome!  Confused again... 🙂

I have been very happy with the reefwave 25 so far, it’s much better then my 2 current eflux wave pumps. At first I wasn’t sure if I should get 2 but the one seems to be doing just fine and I’m running it on random wave at 80%. It does make a slight humming noise when it reaches the 80% but it’s not loud at all. If your looking at the reefer 170 I think it’s a great tank but I would also consider the reefer 200xl which is a bit bigger

Cool, thanks. Reefwave 25 it is then! Will integrate with my ReefLED 90 too on the ReefBeat app! Loving the Red Sea stuff... Going for their salt too (the coral Pro stuff). Nice and easy to mix...30 minutes I hear. Brilliant!!

Finally got myself a biota mandarin from algae barn. It did not go as planned and was supposed to come on a Tuesday but never showed up and the only thing I received was a mandarin feeder kit from AlgaeBarn. Also missing was a tuxedo urchin that should have come directly from algaebarn. Chatted with them multiple times and they told me the mandarin was coming straight from biota and they would look into what happened. Also said the urchin should have came with the feeder kit and that they messed up. Took another week and the mandarin finally showed up but AlgaeBarn never got back with me on what was going on and kept telling me they where looking into it. As for the urchin, they had me submit a claim and it still has not been resolved and the first person that looked at it never worked it. Will have to contact them again on Monday and hopefully I can get some answers, it just sucks that I paid next day delivery for the urchin and never received it. Well anyways I am happy with my mandarin but it came in as a baby, seems to be doing good so far and he looks fatter since I got him.

Was watching my lettuce nudibranch today sitting on the glass as he has been these past few days and I turned my return pump back on after feeding and what do you know, he flew off the glass and landed on the sand. I looked around for him and found him but so did my Halloween hermit named Freddy. I’m glad I was watching because Freddy darted off and tried to get the nudibranch. I have never seen him charge at anything before. I grabbed Freddy and moved him far away allowing the Nudi a chance to get back on the glass. He is safe now back to where he was before at the top of the tank. I hope he lasts, Freddy is the only hermit crab I have along with one Pom Pom crab. Other then them I only have snails in my tank as the clean up crew.

Added a Tunze algae reactor today. Took a little while for me to get it running but the chaeto is spinning and everything seems to be sealed and flowing correctly. Had some trouble with getting good flow but shorting  the hoses seemed to help a lot. To bad it’s to big to fit in the sump with my protein skimmer, have to run it externally.

Yesterday I received a new package for my tank😁. I ordered a Poseidon reef systems copepod kit and it all arrived on Tuesday. I decided to get this so I can insure I have a good copepod population for my mandarin who has been doing very well and is much larger then when I originally got him. With his size I do feel like he is going through the pod population so I don’t want to take any chances and growing my own pods and phyto seems like a cool experiment. My mandarin is so much bigger and yesterday I caught him actually eating frozen food. Snapped a pic of him going after a big chunk but he ended up eating smaller pieces.
