Using Chloroquine phosphate for first time

My QT has been set up for over 6 weeks. It's a 10 gallon with a HOB filter, heater and airstone. Two weeks ago I put 5 fish in. Two chalk bass, two Royal Gramma and a Caribbean Sailfin Blenny. All doing great and eating like pigs.

Last evening I saw spots on both chalk bass that look like Ich. I treated the tank with Chloroquine phosphate at the recommended dosage of 40mg/gallon. Fish ate fine both last night and twice today.

My problem is this:. Today I have cloudy water.... bacterial bloom?  I added two more airstones and did a 25% water change, 2.5 gallons dosed with 100 mg of CP, 40mg/gallon.

Has this happened to anyone else using Chloroquine phosphate?  Any other thoughts, suggestions, help?
