ajkochev
So a month ago I figured I was starving my tank, I pullout out the Phosgaurd and started feeding daily. I got a porcelain crab recently who is eating well, I make sure he catches a homemade food from the water column. Lately I've noticed a "peach fuzz" algae over my rocks, not very long and not green, tan or clear. What is this? Strangely enough I saw my crab last night crawling over it scooping at the rock with his nets and picking it off with his claws. This is the first I seen him do this. I didn't know they eat algae too, thought they got everything from the water. Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
This is a video of mine years ago eating algae. I was also surprised but a crab is a crab, they aint picky! 🙂 2 Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
These guys have a tail they keep tucked under their carapace...so only a lookalike to a crab, but actually a lobster or related to the lobster. BTW, make sure to upgrade the main contingent of your CUC to match the new algae load now that you're feeding more. Quote Link to comment
