I just started back in the salty world and thought I would make a frag tank for when the time comes . I have an old 33g collecting dust so I thought I would use that . I cut the tank down drill new bulk heads in it also made a over flow box and a frag rack for it .

I dig that rack, it'll look nice once covered in coralline algae too 🙂

Awesome looking rack. I'd make and sell those puppies!

How'd you cut the tank down?

I got it plumbed and found a skimmer for cheap what do you guys think of the plumbing and do I need to add a hole to the top of my main drain? The other one is just going to be used as an emergency over flow

Waiting on my t5 retro fit kit for my hybrid light setup I’m making so I thought I would make a lid for it

Plumbing looks efficient, clean work - yes, I think I would cut/drill a hole in the end caps of both drain lines at the top.

Fantastic work with the rack and holy cow, "just scored and snapped off glass"  no big deal. Great work!

The lid! Following.

This is a hardcore frag tank! You plan on stocking it? Just don't see an absolute need for a skimmer but hey why not!
