shipping trades from person to person

A friend of mine move from Canada to Oklahoma. We both have mini-reefs that are doing great and we want to trade stuff back and forth. I've heard of people putting frags in a thermus{with water} and shipping the thermus back and forth.

Will this work? Do frags survive?

If it does work, is there any special conciderations we have to take care of.

Do a thermos search on the forum. There are a few sites. Havent done it myself but I ahve heard of people doing it with much success. Keep in mind with winter approaching, it may not be a good idea until spring.
