corals

hey guys i have been chilling around here and reading up on sw stuff.

ok ihave another question or 2

ok i bought 3 pounds of live rock last night and i discovered they have small poylops and the is this coral bout the size of a nickle. the picture bellow shows what it looks like except mine is pink.

also it was in the path of the power heads main stream and it has moved an inch is this normal or should i move it to a different location. also what should i do for these small thing (are the poylops coral?) what do they need for food ?

 

also i just want to ask is a 55w pc good for a 2 foot tank

that pic looks like sun corals (which don't need the sunlight actually).

 

an actual pic of your hitchhiker coral will do wonders as we wouldn't want to give incorrect info. (i.e. light for a non-photosynthetic or heavy feeding of a predominantly photosynthetic). bad info may end up killing it. ???

2 ft tank probably a 20h i'd say no, maybe mushrooms? but its definently not ideal. but if you meant will it fit (question is slightly vague.) it will fit

Might be aiptasia? That based solely on the pic and pink color. Hard to be real sure like tinyreef said w/o a true pic

hehe like i said moved like and inch in 12 hours and this morning it is gone and i cant seem to find it

If they moved, they aren't sun corals. Prolly aiptaisia, like gullmo said. Keep an eye out for them.
