Anyone have an idea of the amount of APR a 3up RB+RB+WW  from steve's LED would put out at 12"

Looking at making a 5 gallon bucket frag grow out station

Trying to figure out how many LEDs I will need

Thanks

More than likely sub 100 par range. Depending on what you are trying to grow out in there,I would say maybe 5-6 would work. Or maybe like 4 with a few violets.

I will say, they will produce some par and light, but I wish I could say exactly how much. You could cut down the cost some and make 4 cluster of 1 Semi NW ($1) and 2 Semi Royal's ($1) and 1 Viosys 430nm ($3.90) and maybe throw a regular blue in the middle of all 4 to make it more "full spectrum".

Not  to pick on Steves because he sells some good stuff but I've had an attrociously high burn out rate with his 'anti-disco' LED dies. Not sure if they are too close together causing shorts or something else, but I've never driven them higher than 700mA . I would stick the regular triples.

Really ?! That's crazy,I have used a good amount probably 10-12 in the past and never had a issue besides things that were my own fault lol say like a drunk hand, soldering iron and stock lens 😂 that didn't turn out good !!!
