MylesOleary7
Hi, my Tricolor Fairy Wrasse just died. I think it’s because I forgot to turn the flow on more than a day ago, I feel terrible about it. The wrasse was grown pretty big. I have a 29 gallon biocube and the wrasse was in there for a while. Did me not turning the flow on kill the wrasse? I feel terrible Quote Link to comment
MylesOleary7
All of my other fish seem fine, could it have just been old age? Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
How long was the flow off? Was he acting strange? No....not old age. Quote Link to comment
Rob22
Can’t say for sure, but it was possibly a lack of oxygen. Wrasses are active fish and need more oxygen from the water column than fish that don’t move much. Think of the difference in the amount you breathe in while running versus standing. Without the water movement the oxygenation drops in the water. What kind of flow do you normally have? Just the return pump or do you have any more pumps for water movement? Skimmer? MylesOleary7
The flow was off for more than a day, I feel horrible about it, he wasn’t really acting strange, I just have the one pump, I forgot to turn it on after a water change Quote Link to comment
