i heard that has a slight magnetic charge, so it causes hell when you use a magnetic scraper with it.

can you confirm?

I have heard it’s magnetic also but have not had any issues, plus I use a traditional scrapper  (continuum aquablade). Tanks been running for almost 2 years and so far no scratches on the glass. I did drop the magnet to my wave maker on the sand once and I don’t recall it picking up any sand.

A closer shot of my acans and you can see the micromussa in the far right corner. I think these are some of my favorite corals79E5B325-DC5E-4278-B189-EED00DC29BA0.thumb.jpeg.8751e7917f3c8251a50c53ecfbb182fd.jpeg

Certain black sand is magnetic but not all of it. It depends on the brand.

I used the caribsea black Hawaiian, it didn't stick to my magnet cleaner but it turned out to be a detritus trap.

The acans look great. I love acans!

I vacuum my sand frequently and since I started using the prodibio nano kit my detritus has come under control and the sand looks much cleaner.
