I fed them as soon as I got them and they had just nubs and we're not sticky or able to grab food. I basically put them in a Tupperware of food soup. Even now...some hours later and after another meal the right one continues to recover. It looks smaller cuz the frag plug got turned but it's reaching for food...nom nom. 8 1 Quote Link to comment

Tamberav
Pic after the new additions last night. I wasn't particularly gentle and some of my stuff is pissed. The frogspawn came with my red Sea tank and was in poor shape so it's still recovering in general. I also added two tiny pieces of sponge to see what they do. 5 Quote Link to comment

Tamberav
The suns continue to improve but not ready for the pico yet. If they were healthy I could just feed 2-3 times a week but right now I am feeding 2-3 times a day. It is messy and mysis goes flying. The pico was started with dry rock so pretty sure I would grow some sweet ugly algae real fast with that feeding schedule. 🙂 May add some new corals today and do a water change. Maybe a hermit or something too 🙂 5 Quote Link to comment

May have mentioned this before but they are one of my favorites and I can’t wait until you can get them in your tank! 2 Quote Link to comment

Wendy
I love your unique rock scape & your glued back glass pattern just adds so much extra dimension! Wow, such a great nurse maid to the sun corals, they've made such a great turn around! Did you say already, what fish are you going to add?? 1 Quote Link to comment

Wow, such a great nurse maid to the sun corals, they've made such a great turn around! Did you say already, what fish are you going to add?? Thank you 🙂 The back was an accident but it turned out just fine, burrs out the ugly dog kennel behind it. I may add something blue behind to further hide everything. I have a blue stripe pipe in a QT tank in the basement but not positive I will add him or not. I am a little ehhh about trying to add too much feeding to such a young tank started with dry rock. My LFS gets in green bandeds, barnacle blennies, flaming prawn gobies, ect. So I am keeping an eye out for those type of small fish too. I am not totally set on anything. I would like to get some more colors of sun coral and a chili coral or NPS gorgs but they are not too easy to find. I figure I could do a heavy feeding on water change days which I could make twice a week to combat their needs. Divers Den use to have lots of sun around $30-$40 but now they want $200 for some yellow ones, yikes! Prices sure have changed, maybe from the collection bans. 1 Quote Link to comment
Wendy
That's quit a bit of options on fish & any of those would be neat to have in there! I know it's kinda crazy @Tamberav! Some of these coral prices go up like the upswing of real estate.. sigh... Sounds like a good plan, especially with these small tanks, water changes are really simple 🙂 Happy hunting for those corals & fish, excited to see what you find! 1 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
Had some dino show up but it's struggling to live. Then the GHA came 😍 No biggy! Added just a single coralline encrusted trochus to see what he does for it and to seed the coralline too. Might find a fun little hermit to add. Here is a lovely algae pic. There is a single strand of dino dangling off the red macro 🙂 Just them dry rock early tank fun times. Coral doesn't care. 7 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
Prob get stuff together for a water change today and clean up the tank a bit. Prepare to add some more corals as I need to do some fragging for a friend anyways. 3 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
I don't see anymore dino. Hurray! Added a bunch of zoas to the right rock. Replaced the frogspawn with neon branching GSP as the frog was getting too much flow. Added one of the sun coral frags. Would like to find some cyphastrea coral for the bottom corners. More zoas? More sun corals? Balano? Dendro? Maybe some sand and maybe an acan on the bottom. I am not sure what else? Depends what I can find at the LFS. A blenny and a green banded? Nothing is open much yet so not much to look at. Also this is the hermit crab I added...he loves to climb everything. He's pretty cute tbh with his hunky claws 🙂 he came with the red sea tank. 9 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
Looks gorgeous. Do you have a name for those orange zoas on the right? One with 3 heads. Quote Link to comment

Wendy
Love all the colorful corals! With the streaks in your background & reflected on the bottom, it always makes me think there's a storm happening in there (; 3 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
Was out of town over night and I think the hermit crab either found a way out or my cats fished him out as he is missing entirely 😞 No shell or anything left behind. All the snails are accounted for. I am sad as he was cute. I was going to make a lid today too...boo! The Zoa's are opening up except the magicians are pissy. They tend to be moody palys already but I think a bit of algae that was on the plug is tickling them. Hoping to find some good ol dragon eye zoas as I want some neon green on the right. Toadstool Utter Chaos Rasta I am not sure of the name of these? I didn't have any blue Zoa's so had to have them. On 6/7/2019 at 10:07 AM, Wendy said: Love all the colorful corals! seabass
Looks great, only a couple of ledges unoccupied. I can imagine it after a little growth. I hope your crab is just hiding after molting. 3 Quote Link to comment

I made both rocks with small pieces so the middle of both is actually a hollow cave so it's possible he could show up. Or the cats carried him far away and used him as a hockey puck 😮 27 minutes ago, 748S911 said: Wow your reef is looking great! Thank you 😊 2 Quote Link to comment
