I know it's been said but I love that trim... Makes me want to paint mine, over never seen anything like that in my area. Good luck

Thanks, it is really not common that color trim. I think my cat also likes it. I will need a sturdy lidDB47F2B7-981B-446F-9AEF-339216C4F537.thumb.jpeg.edc29b53cc45ea862ba96dc5a56f13d7.jpeg

It's pretty easy to cut a piece of glass to fit.  If you are unsure, Lowes (or a local glass shop) can do it for you.

When I saw your tank, I was like, "Oh crap, now I have to paint my trim."  Actually I won't, but like everyone else, I think it's pretty neat.

Yes I just need some time off to work to keep my Pico going, I am getting behind.

instead of painting it, have you think of cover the trim with a floor marking pvc tape, your tank looks epic but a yellow trim would match your theme.

That stand is pretty sweet.  Looking forward to seeing this get wet.

I also love the stand. That light support looks like it could hold a pretty heavy fixture!

Thanks, it is industrial grade for electrical wiring. It is very sturdy, it is posible to bend and machining thread on the ends

That's a beautifully janky build, I love it!

The electrical conduit is a handy trick for light, I'm doing that on my 40 :)

Thanks it’s coming along nicely but to slow. Conduit is very sturdy, safe and very conformable, and I like the industrial look.

made a trial run for the jankylight please don’t pay attention to the level and the cord.

Jankylife ftw

Here's how I did the lighting on my 20 long when I was running a pair of heatsinks as pendants, you can church up the jank a little if you get creative. These are a pair of Synjet heatsink/cooler combos. Some crimped wire hangers complete the setup nicely.IMG_20190219_204914.thumb.jpg.1a1be02e86d6a729a8aae04028fffc4a.jpg

Sweet setup no I’m not looking at your level or your electric cable 😂

That was an "in progress" experiment up there, while testing the lights. With the rapidLED enclosure it looks like this-

Nice progress! That light looks quite powerful :coolguy:

Thanks, it doesn’t seem too powerful; I look directly to the leds with naked eye 👁 and continue to see the lights during  a few minutes. noob mistake.

I got them from rapidled when the made the saltwater aurora pucks (they don’t any more) they’re imitation Radions but work just the same. I use a stormX controller

It is supposed to be 15 leds of 3 watt

1 pink

1 green

5 royal blue

1 UV 395-400 nm

1 violet 420-430 nm

1 white 12,000 kelvin

2 white 20,000 kelvin

3 blue

it has two chanels all blues in one; the other leds in the other chanel, each chanel is dimmable in seven steps of intensity.

I will see how it works
