Rip3618
Today I noticed a white-ish / transparent film covering my little clown. I think he’s stressed but thought I’d reach out to the forum. A little background info; My 20 gal peninsula has been going for about three months. I got my clown about two months ago and he seems to be doing. He’s eating, swims and seems to be happy. Yesterday I did a water change after cleaning my tank with Chemiclean for 48 hours (I had a minor algae problem). This afternoon was when I noticed the white film. It appears like it’s covering his eyes, poor guy. I have a simple test kit and my pH, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates are all good. Any idea what he’s dealing with or is it likely stress? Is there anything else I should be testing or treat? Thanks. 1 Quote Link to comment

Humblefish
After cleaning your tank, was there a lot of debris in the water which might now be stuck to his mucous coat?? However, if it persists then it could be brook: https://www.nano-reef.com/forums/topic/402151-brooklynella-fish-disease-information/ 1 Quote Link to comment
partlycloudy531
The same thing happened to one of my clowns after a water change once. I think it was due to stress. It ended up going away in about 24 hours and he’s been fine ever since. Hopefully that’s all it is with yours. Quote Link to comment
