Star fish and mantis shrimps

Would i be able to keep star fish with stomatopods? Or would they become food?

 

I had a thought that as i am using a rather deep sand bed a few sand sifters would help keep the sand fresh.

Sand sifting stars are a bad idea in general for nano tanks.  They will quickly deplete their food supply and starve.

Mantis shrimp are curious and will punch or stab/poke everything. Especially new things.

 

One poster here used to give his mantis objects to 'play' with such as colored dice.

 

What? Something new? I better investigate and punch it for good measure.

I used to give my purple spot colored dice too. She loved playing with them. She'd sometimes take up specific colored dice and walk around with it in the tank - like her version of a new designer bag that needs showing lol.
