Love the goby. I had a yellow watchman back in the day that was cool. Once they get settled their personalities come out.

Thinking of pairing it with a pistol shrimp?

Yeah, I plan on getting a red banded pistol. Hopefully I can get them to pair.

Found a small filter feeder on one of my frags.  Any idea what it could be?1A45C76B-9F9A-4D2F-BAF3-304D488B224B.thumb.jpeg.25d133983c9f025a87d99965739d08c3.jpeg

Maybe I'm paranoid but any filter-feeder which looks similar to aptasia or majano gets boiling water and vinegar applied and pulled. Doesn't look like a new acan head to me, someone else can weigh in before you really need to feel like you should do anything though.

You think it could be something nasty? It doesn’t look like aptasia but I could be wrong. Really difficult to to get a good picture of it.

Weeping Willow glue failed to hold. Thankfully it did not land on any other coral. I’ve seen some videos with people using rubber bands to hold the coral down until it attaches itself, so I’ll give that a try. Any ideas on how long it would take to attach itself?

Looks like one of my LFS had a car drive through the store front. Thinking someone’s wife wasn’t happy with how much they spent there. 😜

Things are looking up for my goby. As of today he has paired with the pistol shrimp, after only 3 days together! He is out much more. Even confident enough to scare off the clownfish. Also was able to confirm that both the goby and shrimp are eating.

On Friday (6/21/2019) the scarlet hermit was defeated by one of the blue legged hermits who was after it’s shell.

Weeping Willow coral rubber band was left on for about 4 days. After that it was removed in fear of splitting the coral. Instead I placed the coral inside half a cup next to some rock rubble. After a little over a week the coral had attached itself and begun to bend towards the light/away from the edge of the cup.

Lavender Duncan head is very large now with long tentacles. There is also a small head starting to develop.

Blasto has about three new heads starting. Acans are also developing some buds was able to see about 7 of them between my two frags.

Moved the misbar clownfish out of QT Saturday (7/6/2019) night.  The misbar seemed to submit immediately but the gladiator was mean. Today (after 2 days) they appear to be getting along now. The misbar took some damage to its dorsal fin and continues to sit in the corner but at least the gladiator stopped attacking. 17F206B6-8C5F-4126-B198-254729606767.thumb.jpeg.e11fd2d0e03ecd01855f753889e424f5.jpeg

Unfortunately I spoke too soon. The gladiator continued to attack today and the misbar had died before I got home from work.

Not much has changed. Some of the corals have moved or fallen off the rock. The new blasto, acan and duncan mouths continue to grow larger. The weeping willow leather appears to be doing well. There are no additional growth seen on the zoanthids.

Came home from work to find an acan stinging the blasto. Damage looks minimal. Thinking the pistol shrimp moved some sand causing the frags to move. Will need to glue these frags down soon.😅
