Belikin
Last night I saw a peppermint shrimp picking at a duncan coral. Was he just cleaning it, or attacking it? It closed up while this was happening, and it looks OK this morning. I've just never seen that happen before. Quote Link to comment

I have had horrible experience with peppermint shrimp. Don’t trust them. Banish them to the fuge or LFS. Quote Link to comment

Some shrimp like Peppermints can/will actively eat corals. I would keep an eye out. Quote Link to comment
Belikin
I had fed the corals earlier, maybe that was what was happening. I will keep an eye on things. 2 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Shrimps often irritate corals by stealing food. Unfortunately, peppermints are known to also eat corals. Some luck out to never experience this while others haven't been so lucky 2 Quote Link to comment
Belikin
I put a few sinking shrimp pellets down in the rocks where the shrimp normally hang out, and so far this seems to have kept them off the coral. Quote Link to comment
