Wendy
No @EfrainChicagoDeepdish, the polyclad has not eaten any more snails since Sunday. I did freshwater dip the very top of the rock last night & even squirted the water into the hole where the thing went. However, no telling if it's still in that spot & it never evacuated during the dip. I can't dip the whole rock because I have 4 RFAs attached to it near the bottom. I was able to be close to the tank today & kept a close eye on it. A cerith snail crawled all over the rock, even above & beside the polyclad's hole. The lil monster never came out. So far no more shells added to the snail graveyard. My next move is to modify the trap & add a clam to it. We shall see how that goes. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
Wendy
Since I was trying to eradicate the polyclad I had my coral order delivery moved to this morning. Hopefully the lil D-bag continues to target the snails & leaves the corals alone! I got quit a few pieces & I'm letting everything settle for a day or 2 before I mount them all into their permanent places. This 1st pic is with a filter & the 2nd is without. The real colors are in between the 2... Sorry I just do not feel like editing with an app, maybe down the road... 5 2 Quote Link to comment

Beautiful colors, lovely additions!! 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Yes, I got 3 acans (still pissy), 9 different zoas, 1 ricordea, a candy cane, 2 St Thomas mushrooms & another RFA. It's HUGE & covering up my 3 little colorful ones! I put it way over to the right & it keeps moving to the left \: 4 1 Quote Link to comment
MetaTank
Oooh st Thomas mushrooms are cool! That’s what I mistook for the other ricordea. So the Orange one is the ricordea and the others are the st Thomas? Neat! I like fuzzy shrooms 1 Quote Link to comment
Wendy
The St Thomas shroons are in the front right corner @MetaTank. They're not real colorful atm... 1 of them is still pretty po'd after the shipping & dipping. I actually ordered an orange St Thomas, but Holly, with Cultivated Reef, said that she didn't have any pretty ones. So, she asked if she could send TWO other ones. Sure, I'll take 2 plez!!! The rics are all in the back left & just the orange one came today. All the rics & shroons will be placed last once I have everything else glued down where I want them. 2 Quote Link to comment
Wendy
On Sunday was able to get all the zoas removed from the frag plugs & glued onto the rock. Hopefully I placed them all far enough apart from each other to get some good growth before they start touching. The candy cane came with a bunch of little aptasia on it, so I've been taking it out of the tank & squirting lemon juice into the little pests with a tiny needle/syringe. There's 2 left yet to be totally eradicated, it's really hard to see them once the coral is out of the water. Speaking of eradication... I have not lost ANY snails since I saw the polyclad finish off a cerith over a week ago. Not sure if it died in it's hole when I dipped the top of the rock in freshwater or it's just laying in wait until it's hungry. I still have corals to mount in their permanent places, I'm waiting on 2 acans to recover from fragging & shipping. Also, the new zebra rock flower anemone is so big that I may try to move it, b/c it just seems to be pissing some things off that it's close to. Does anyone have any good tips for getting an RFA to unattach from the rock? Here's a current photo with some things a little mad b/c I had just done a water change. Wingy
I may be mistaken but I believe I read to freeze some rodi and get the area cold to convince it to move. I don't know how that would work on rock. 1 Quote Link to comment
Wendy
CAPTURED snail murderer!!! A brave cerith put his life on the line to eradicate the d-bag! Such a freaky critter! It slithers into all kinds of convoluted shapes. This polyclad is just over 1&1/2 inches long & shoved itself into a hole in the rock that was as big as the end of tweezers. Are the white spots on it's underside eggs or just it's guts?? Having baby polyclads is DEFINITELY NOT in my future plans! 3 6 Quote Link to comment

I've been watching my tank like a hawk when I'm around... saw the cerith snail tilted on it's side by the rock.. checked it with a flashlight & I saw the d-bag mostly in the cerith shell, so grabbed my long handy tweezers & pulled it outta there! Now I'm crossing my fingers that there's not anymore in the tank. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Wingy
I prefer hydrogen peroxide over freshwater. The sizzle is very satisfying. 1 4 Quote Link to comment
kimdawg
Thank goodness you got it. It really is a beautiful creature, too bad someone couldn't just put it in a pest only tank. I would not want him in my tank. 6 Quote Link to comment

Wendy
I'm sure the YouTube peeps never see the thing in the 10 gallon @748S911. It's been 2 weeks since it's last snail meal & I haven't seen it at all this whole time. Thanks @WV Reefer! I feel relief knowing it's outta there & my snails will not be murdered anymore. Lol @Wingy! Oh sizzling may turn me off of bacon... Nah, that's not happening! It is pretty with those spots @kimdawg & I usually can't stand to hurt any critters, but it's killed so many snails making it a real pest! 4 2 Quote Link to comment
Tempestas
It is really pretty. Such a pity that it's a murderous pest. 3 Quote Link to comment

Wendy
Oh boy!!! This past month has gone by & I've been so preoccupied by other things. The pico is doing so-so... dealing with a flatworm infestation. The little annoying boogers & all the zoas are ticked off. Also, the big RFA has moved some & is now sitting at the top of the rock right in the middle of the zoas. Pretty sure that's adding to their unhappiness. I got some flatworm exit, but still need to pick up more activated carbon. I've been lazy about getting these supplies together. Hopefully I'll get to that & do a treatment this weekend. Crossing my fingers that all goes well! FTS 7/31/19 4 Quote Link to comment
Wendy
Whoops!!! I didn't realize that I let all of August go by & all of September before an update... sigh... I haven't been good about regular water changes, they've been happening every 2-3 weeks. This poor lil tank is still dealing with the little flatworms. Hopefully I can get it in gear with weekly water changes, treat for the flatworms right before & possibly eradicate these annoying pests! I have lost my porcelain crab, it had a bad molt & it's claws were deformed 😞 I also accidentally threw away my little fishies cleaning magnet, however the astrea snails have been keeping the glass fairly clean, yay for good workers (; My zoas are ALWAYS pissed & I'm not sure how many will end up melting away before I get rid of the flatworms. On the other hand, my acans & candy canes have been doing well! The RFAs are doing just fine too. I have a tiny baby that likes to take strolling adventures all over the rock, never know where it'll pop up next! FTS with blues 4 Quote Link to comment
