Thanks! I was thinking so too! Really need to more different colored hammers and a Duncan coral and I'll be happy, unfortunately haven't found any really good deals on them. I haven't paid more than $5 on a frag so far. I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible, may have to bite the bullet and spend a few extra bucks to get what I want.

You have to own a 60k laser cutter(or something similar) it’s relatively simple just a few clicks and paste 😂

Don't worry about it. Lid is bowing, I think because originally the light may have sat too close 🤷‍♀️. I may take you up on the more substantial thing though. Only the one with the solo Lorax though. I'm saving the other for when my little one gets a bit bigger and I can make him his own little tank for his room and put that lid on it.

It’s a combo of heat and the weight in the middle. (I’m having the same issue with mine)

Why not just reinforce it with an acrylic rod or two spanning the short-side? Would also help with aeration.

Alright new news on the coral front. Had to go get a recall taken care of on my car and they finished quicker than I thought. Nice part about this, the dealership was right across from an LFS I hadn't been to in a while, so naturally had to stop in. While there on their $10 rack I found a Duncan coral. It's small and not crazy colorful, but then again it may color up more after it's been in the tank awhile. But I like it and it's already opened up quite nice. I was afraid with it being directly under the HOB return "waterfall" that it would not be happy. But not the case. Here's a pic when first added:

Under the return might be to much for that duncan.  Does it look less scrunched up and stiff today?  Target feed that duncan some Reef Roids and see what it does.  Mine swells all up and looks like its ready to burst.  I swear it looks like it wants a burp and a belly rub.

Hmmm... It looks like it did in the store. Does it in the second pic, after it being in the tank for 4 hours, not look happy?

I do not have any reef roids, but I do have some coral frenzy very small pellets I fed to my RFAs occasionally, would it eat those?

It doesn't look unhappy to me, try feeding it the Coral Frenzy. I have an unhappy Duncan lol

Mine takes 1.4-1.5mm pellets so might be worth a try. It seems to be easier to take if they're crushed and target fed

From what I have read and seen in my own tank they have long flowy tentacles in gentle flow and short thick tentacles more turbulent water.

Well mine definitely has short thick tentacles. Are yours doing ok in turbulent water? Anything I should watch for as a concern? If they're fine I'm gonna leave them there.

Mine is about 3 inches to the right of the return and loves that spot.  It came from a system with a lot of lateral flow and had its own clownfish friend.  The closest I could come to duplicating that was off to the side a bit.   You could try turning your pump off and see how it reacts.    Here is mine

Whoa been a hot minute since I gave an update. Here's where we're at. The Duncan is doing great, two beautiful heads on it! Majanos went for a little walk, there are two of them still. I got my macro eating turbo snail out of the tank and replaced it with a trochus, so my cuc is two I believe nerites and him. And I guess some might consider the pom pom one too, but he's special to me 🙂

Bad news the dino-farts are back 😞 they don't really seem to be stressing anything out 🤷‍♀️ just ugly. Here's a quick FTS. And two closeups.

Everything looks happy in spite of the Dinos, you might be a magician and I hope it stays that way, I love how your tank looks like a bunch of shrubs and small trees. Something about low-lying scapes really works for me, thanks for the update.

I really like it too, makes this tiny tank look much bigger! Still want to add one or two more hammers and if I find a super cheap Duncan get one more.

Mine is close to taking up a third of the length of the tank.  i don't dare get another without having a bigger tank first.

Hey all,

Sorry wasn't able to keep up real well with this. We ended up moving in the middle of September. All of my corals and tank inhabitants of both of my tanks survived. Never got a chance to add much more. But here's a pic of it I just took before turning off the lights for the night. It's been fun and stressful doing a tank during a move lol. I assume I'm out of the contest, so good luck to everyone. If that's not the case let me know @Christopher Marks Thanks for the fun! If I'm still really in I'll post a cleaned up photo and 2 paragraph update on Friday or Saturday.
