That's what it looks like on there... I'll try to take a FTS with my coral lense either later today or tomorrow and I'll be able to confirm, unless the creator posts first.

Yes it’s a diffuser, I used p95 clear acrylic

I was trying to find that background that looked decent and similar to the one you have. but I ended up with a still shot from the Lorax movie. I wasn’t sure if it was going to block out too much light hence why you got two lids. With the “matte” acrylic should distribute the light more evenly compared to the dimpled crap you would find at a hardware store.

 

ill grab that tank for your classroom Sunday, I’m going to water test it Monday and Tuesday. So you can have it anytime next week.

Haven’t posted here yet, but I wanted to say I think the theme is fantastic. I was a big fan of Dr Seuss growing up, and I think there are MANY whimsical coral options for this theme. I agree with the consensus, that Duncans are perfect, but there are SO many other good options! I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

 

And it’s great that you got to meet some local reefers around you! @This guy is extra salty does great work, and I’m lucky enough to have the first tank he made for this competition on the way soon! I’m gonna have to hit him up for more in the future, those etchings are fantastic and everything he produces is so clean. 

 

Once again, fantastic theme, and really looking forward to seein this one develop. Themes like this Dr Seuss one, and the sorta stuff that @seabass and @Tigahboy are doing really set your guys’ tanks apart from the crowd! Great ideas!!

As promised an update on the Truffala Tank. We've had a lot going on around the house the last few weeks, we're trying to sell our house and move to an area of the city we think we'd be happier in. Anyway, had to shut down my other cube pico reef (it was the "upgrade" after the reef bowl contest) and added a rock flower from there and also the pom pom we've had in there for about 8 months and today we added a new friend that fits great with our theme. Meet our YCG!!! No name yet, thinking of names for both or fun whimsical creatures. Well here's what you all want to see...

First an FTS from tonight

Our super awesome pom pom (name pending) he is frequently out later in the evening already! 

And our newest addition YCG (also name pending) he's not eating or perching yet, he's still getting adjusted.

Photo Heavy update:  I have not added much extra this week didn't see anything at the stores that I "Had to Have," we did relocate the reef to a different location in the house and I have removed the Turbo Snail and added in a Trochus to go with the two cerith snails.  Also while performing maintenance on my Nuvo 20, I pulled out some macro algae and cut it up and transferred it to the Pico.  Overall pretty happy so far with the inhabitants and the direction it is heading, looks like to get a few more hammers in there I'm gonna have to drop a little more cash than I was planning, on the plus side the Majano has stayed put and really hasn't grown all that much.

 

Anyway here's a FTS on it's new stand (eventually I want to deconstruct the TV and place an aquarium in there, not sure I will be able to though:)

Just a quick update, spent a week in Colorado away from the tank. Tank went two weeks with no water change and no I'll effects! I did come back to a few bubble algaes popping up, pulled them out today with water change. Still not sure where they came from, I've been very careful with this tank 😠. And I had a few aptasia pop up through the matted GSP... Didn't even think that could happen. GSP all seems fine, gave those a dose of Aptasia X, we'll see if I've now got them all. My Majano became two. The pom-pom and Clown Goby are doing great. The only thing added is a small piece of rubble rock with a few heads of blue zoa's that I found on the sand in my Nuvo 20, so I put them in here. Here's a few pics, starting with the whole setup on top of the antique TV:
