New Apartment New Reef

Join me as I set up a new tank. An upgrade from a jbj 12 gallon, you can see the pix in my profile.

 

New tank specs:

Tank: Cobalt C Vue 26 gallon

Flow:  Vortech mp10, stock return pump

Light: AI Hydra 26

ATO: XP Aqua Duetto

Heater: Aqueon 100w w/ Inkbird Controller

Rocks: Caribsea Liferock Shapes

 

Livestock will be put in after cycle:

2 ocelaris clowns

1 ruby red dragonet

1 pseudochromis

1 pygmy cherub angel

and various snails and hermits. 

 

This will be a prediminantly Sps tank. I will carry over some of my rare corals from my jbj like my jawbreaker mushrooms, and kojiwada pink nepthea. I will upload more pics as I go along.

Goodbye jbj12. Ill upload more pics tomorrow as my new apartment doesnt have internet yet so I cant control my lights. It goes off at 8 😂

I am also a fan of sand, but your JBJ12 looks very beautiful, so I trust your judgment on this one. 😄 I'll be following along as things fill in.

I notice you used clips to hang your DIY lid inside the rim of the tank. Looks very slick! Did you purchase a screen lid kit for your top, or is that just something you made yourself?

Its the innovative marine clips. The top is a diy from home depot, just ur off the shelf screen and frame set. The screen i bought from amazon its clear/ more transparent than the ones they sell at home depot. 

 

Update: all the fishies and corals are in. The left overs from the jbj are all getting sold.

4/19/19 update. Added some sticks about a week ago. Also I had to give away my cherub angel, he was being super aggressive and biting everyone in the tank. Also my two fathead denros are closed most of the time because my clowns are trying to host it and nipping at the tentacles.
