Why not an anemone?

Sadly, the time comes to every young reefer like myself, to graduate and head off to college. College seems like a horrible experience because apparently they only let you keep a maximum tank size of 10 gallon (still wondering how Im going to survive). So time to get to the title of the post, would it be possible to keep an RBTA in a 10 gallon aquarium? Since its going to be a fairly budget build it will probably end up being the only thing in the reef besides a pair of clown  I was hoping that maybe it was possible.

I've been keeping aquariums my whole life and saltwater aquariums the past 4. First year was all the rookie mistakes but the past 3 years have been smooth sailing. Minimalist fish stock (1 clown and 1 melanurus wrasse in a 50g aquarium). Have a decent size RBT, bicolored hammer, few zo colonies which Ive let grow, frogspawn, and a plating monti which went to wack after a heater failure.

(Crossing my fingers that it bounces back)

Thanks for any help.

I have been fearing the same problem. Will be heading off within the year. I’ve heard of people keeping rbta in nano tanks like a 10 gallon. I personally don’t think that it would be an issue, considering you aren’t keeping much in the tank.

I say go for it dude and enjoy it. 10 is on the smaller side but can definitely definitely be done. And you seem to have an understanding of the challenges and requirements involved so as long as you keep up on it should be good,in my opinion. Let us know how it goes!

1. FYI, I can't imagine an RA would actually measure a smallish tank to make sure it was 10 gallons or less.

2. Move off campus. Find an apartment/condo that doesn't have restrictions on aquariums, or at least nothing you can't live with.
