I gave up on trying to finish it last night.  It's going to require a lot of patience and this reef hobby has already exhausted all of my patience.

Love the tiny Hawaiian hermits I got from IPSF.  They are super active and agile.  Add a lot of life to the pico.  Here's one of them hanging out in the palm tree.  I need to figure out names for these guys.

My RFA hasn't moved since it found this spot under the palm tree next to the Tiki Lounge. Looks like this might be its home for awhile.

The Hawaiian hermits move all around the pico, but their base camp appears to be the Tiki Lounge/palm trees as well.  Everyone wants to hang out at the Tiki Lounge.

ATO system is all set-up now!  I can finally get back to living my life again now that I'm no longer a slave to the manual top-off.  What am I going to do with all my free time?!

They really are!  And I still have 2 extra as well that nobody wants to buy from me locally, but I think I may just keep them in my janky holding tank until I get my main tank set-up.

 

Also my trochus snail hasn't moved for days, but it's pretty firmly stuck (on the Tiki Lounge of course) whenever I try to pull it off.  So not sure what's going on with that guy.  Maybe he's SUPER laid back.

Welp, zoas aren't doing so hot.  Lost a bunch little by little.  No pests on them, but they just seem to deteriorate one by one and/or detach from the rock and float off somewhere (saw it happen a couple times).  Probably some kind of infection.  Did a Coral Revive dip hoping to help with the infection and stop the spreading and I also cut off a lot of dying polyps.  May try some other dips (Iodine, Coral Rx, H2O2) if that doesn't work.

 

Sad thing is the one frag that I did not touch is doing fine and it's just the ones that I peeled off from their plugs to get onto my rockwork.  So probably my fault.  😢  

 

Also checked some params last night, Nitrates are ZERO and Phosphates are 0.02.  May need to feed my corals and inverts a little more.  I'm scared of dinos after seeing all the dino posts lately.

Positive news is the ATO works really well.  Total volume in the reservoir is around 1.5g and I think that might last awhile.  I added just 1g and will see how many days that lasts.

That’s the great thing about picos, 1 gallon should last a while. I lose almost a gallon a day in my 40b. I just bought an ato for it and it’s so nice not filling it up manually anymore.

Yeah, I had some size constraints based on the space in my tiny stand, so 1.5g was as big as I could go without taking up all the space in there.  I'm hoping it will last at least 1 week.  I can finally take vacations again.  LOL.

This guy is my favorite of the 2 Hawaiian hermits.  He's the most adventurous.  Found him just chillin in the dragon's breath above the volcano yesterday.  Really need to come up with names for them.
