What are these on my live rock?

They came on my live rock. Are they problematic? If not, how do I keep them alive? Are they going to die as my tank cycles?

Thanks!!

Feather dusters.  Not bad for the tank, may be ok during the cycle.

Definitely feather dusters.  There are some fire-engine reds ones (that small) which are very cool.  In your pics you can see even more--those white, curling tube structures.  I circled in red something else, but am not sure what it is; could be a little sponge.

Woah I didn’t even think about a sponge! I hope it is! I also found a little starfish and three tiny brittle stars in the tank! So far I’m loving them even more than my cardinalfish.

Any idea what this little starfish is? He has three legs and it looks like three more are growing back.

Asterina Starfish

Is that a bad thing to have in my tank? It seems super cute but from what I’m reading online, maybe they’re not so great to have?

I have dozens of the starfish in my tank and no issues thus far. Someone claimed they eat coraline and mine seems thinner than it once was. Others claim a small percentage can eat zoas but that is not confirmed or accurately summarized. If you see them eating a zoas then just pull them out.

I might start thinning my gears. Saw over 20 on one wall of my 5.5 gallon!
