Jeff Hood
Yes, very yellow. Need more info. Filtration type refugium and it’s contense and lighting type and schedule? how did you run the carbon. Example, in a reactor, in a bag sitting in the bottom. Feeding schedule and type of food live stock in the tank. Water change schedule and some basic tests including Nitrates and phosphates. Water change schedule? Anything new in the tank? flow rate through the filters all all these things can contribute. 3 Quote Link to comment

Oldsalt01
New tank? U need to up ur housecleaning regimen. Do you vacuum the sand? Need parameters, esp nitrate/phosphate. How often do u change the carbon? Scrape the glass during water change. What’s ur CUC? Is that scum or foam on the water surface, or just air bubbles. If scum or foam that could indicate high protein levels (usually nitrates or phosphates). Also, what type of rock; dry vs new cycled? Quote Link to comment
