Finally, time for another contest.

The last one was so much fun, I had to join this one.

All of the items I had in my closet, so this has so far started off to be cheap. That's probably why the hubby was ok with me setting up another tank after shutting down my 5.5g.

Tank

Seapora Rimmed tank 12 x 6.5 x 6

Equipment

Aquaclear 20

Tetra Heater

Abi Tuna Blue Par 38 12w

Plans are pretty simple for this pico but we will all have to wait and see what happens.

The rest is TBA March 30th

So been working on a few projects for the pico.

I ran into an issue with my light. My gooseneck c clamp couldn't be placed on the actual tank, so I had to design something that I could clamp it onto.

I designed a base with a back wall with tile and wood. My hubby made it for me.

Now I can clamp my light and give height to the tank since the table it will be sitting on is low.

I also made a filter basket which has a section for media and 1 for the heater.

I think I will only run floss and carbon.

I leaked tested the tank last night and cleaned it today.

I have already cycled rock waiting in a holding tank with some macro algae.

I picked up ocean direct livesand. Gonna wash it before using it. I also got my epoxy.

Plan on getting the tank set up this week hopefully.

Can you remind me what that basket material is called? I can't remember (not much for home crafts).

Plastic canvas, I think. I've tried to use it a few times for reef related items, but never works out.

What fails?

I'm thinking a snail guard for my ATO float switch might be wise.

Thank you!

I'm already searching for corals and debating on aquascape.

I like your solution for the light mount. I’m going to have the same problem and was thinking of something similar.

Although, I probably should get signed up for this party first before trying to figure that out!

Anyone thinking about keeping a small goby in their tanks?

Only if it comes paired with a tiny shrimp...lol

But I wasn't really thinking about it, are there any small enough that would be comfortable in there? I have 0 marine fish experience, my tanks were always coral and inverts only.

Going to get a tiny clown for the 7 gal nano I'm setting up, but I plan on moving it to a 20 long when it grows up
