Thanks for the tag reminders @kimberbee @Snow_Phoenix @lkoechle.  I added those to all my posts as well.

My IG is @tigahboy.h2o.

When I created my IG account I was bummed to see someone using my handle already (though he hasn't posted anything on his account), so I had to add "h2o" at the end.   LOL.

I don't really use social media other than for my tank stuff.

You really like numbers.

Lmao- I do, I really like numbers!  748S was my Ducati back in day, I always wanted a 911 so that's where I got 748S911 in early 2000's.  Now  11NTY9 is my 1199 Ducati  Panigale and my 911 backwards 😉 so hence all the numbers lol.

Im a bike, car, reef, dive, and watchaholic.  All my hobbies are freaking too expensive!!  I wish I was into knitting or a hobby that requires zero cash lol like walking...hahahaha

So the AI prime is 1.34 inches thick, I have 2 inches of hood trim, and .75 of tank trim that I don't want showing .09 of an inch over, BUT there is a little dip in the trim it maybe a 1/10th of an inch from trim to lid. It might work!

Someone please chime in on the deal with  “surface skimmer” modification for their HOB I do not see any specifications pertaining that “rule”

I think the skimmer box must sit within the display, and the intake "tube" of the HOB must sit inside the chamber and draw water from it

@Christopher Marks please correct me if I misunderstood that

I would agree. The whole idea behind the competition is to go "old school" with a simple tank, and no frills traditional HOB filter.

You're having fun designing/making your own tank and filter but in the same way almost making this more difficult for yourself by building it from scratch. Focus your creativity for inside the tank - that's where the leeway is.
