ZR2
I got a green canary blenny from LiveAquaria that came on Tuesday. The fish looks healthy and seems to act normal. I always feed my fish every other day to avoid putting too much nutrients in the water. I just beat a bad case of Cyano and do not want it coming back. I feed my fish mysis shrimp and my clown and royal eat it right up. I have never seen the blenny eat any of the shrimp. Is mouth always looks partly open but I have never seen him open his mouth to eat. Has anyone else experienced this issue? 1 Quote Link to comment
Humblefish
Try a little nori on a clip. Most blennies are omnivores and also eat plant matter. Quote Link to comment

I am newer to saltwater. I do see him dive down sometimes like he sees something in the rocks. I never see anything where he dives down Quote Link to comment

You can rubberband it to a rock or use a nori clip: https://www.chewy.com/ocean-nutrition-feeding-frenzy/dp/183457 Quote Link to comment

luckie1966
If your lfs has live brine shrimp I would try that, always good starter food for finicky eaters. 1 Quote Link to comment
jesseatam
When I had my fang blenny it took about a week in qt before it really looked at food. However mine was captive bred from ORA, if yours is wild caught you might be in for a struggle. Once mine settled in though it became a massive pig. Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
I have two fangs in QT who would not take mysis at first...I got them started on smaller foods like ova...cyclopeze...ect... And eventually they would take mysis too. The mouth partially open is normal...they got some big fangs trying to fit in there. Beautiful fish! 2 Quote Link to comment
