Another update!
here is December’s FTS

and a little side boob

i have been doing manual water changes on the mangrove tank which isn’t bad but I had enough of them so I finally got around to setting up the AWC the same way I had it before. With both the drain and return lines running into the sump of the 160. I had to buy an extension cable for the dc pump and I bought some black tubing EE91EB7F-080D-4F93-9FED-B466AF1A3C2C.thumb.jpeg.a8da86b16b7a72368bee44bc6b8649ac.jpegE2718F79-3A17-4EDF-AE56-2BF0C40D5061.thumb.jpeg.c5f483237ce3ce8b758f6cff22bfda7d.jpeg

I had to have 2 20’ lines but the stock tubing only comes in 15’ unfortunately which is why I found some that is higher rated and a bit thicker so it can be walked on and not interfere with the water changesA6CD8B2F-539F-4795-B44B-7F19D516FE1C.thumb.jpeg.02442dddbf48596168b149c314c360f6.jpeg

got the two lines ran and testing the fill rate on the return. 4919D835-93AA-47BC-8AD9-3AEB030FC48D.thumb.jpeg.f21d98f97142b839d81e84388a55403a.jpeg
zip-tied the lines to the back of the acrylic stand so my son doesn’t yank or pull them out. 04EE7F9B-BA20-4681-BC54-73A2B8A987E5.thumb.jpeg.23f30aae2047c8d0d3e19fb36bbcf2f1.jpeg
i have both of them running under the floor mats and the rug in front of the 160 648287B5-0F4F-4107-97BD-23AD7D8DC130.thumb.jpeg.1c5e9938056eb41fa4b6ea1c9ec8e283.jpeg
now just gotta shove them into the sump and run the return pump wire back to the controller.

D9CAB26B-1423-46B0-B3AF-54296BD3FD88.thumb.jpeg.320b7ce892e0c60901b2a3e500644a7b.jpeg
overall I like the new placement of the 5g mangrove tank. It sits in front of a southern facing window so the tank does get about 4hrs of natural sunlight which Is great but since it’s winter I have to supplement with a 32w GE plant bulb. (FYI the bulb grows chaetomorpha really well, if you’re on a budget)

So this weekend I got the tank’s first inhabitant. A hifin goby/ candy pistol pair. Both of them are about a 1/2” long
