Beautiful clown! Black ice are one of my favorites.

I am not sure if you use a gel filter but that would make taking pics with LEDs a lot easier if you already don't have one. Someone had a set for 15 bucks on the hardware section.

Thank you! Black ice and black storm are my two favorite clownfish. I couldn’t pass on it when I saw the price wasn’t bad compared to other “designer” clownfish (it was actually a lot less than I thought it would be).

I’m not using a gel filter, but I’m hoping to get one soon so I’ll be looking around. I never had leds on a tank before so I didn’t even think about it until I started adding corals. 😂

Currently a filter sock, which I’m hoping to switch to a media basket by the end of this week. I’ve just been doing a two gallon water change every two days since it’s been cycled. Don’t really know much about media baskets, since my old tanks were ran with just water changes.

well, media baskets just ensure that the water is forced through the filter media evenly. they stop channels that let the water bypass the media.

running them dirty is common...not everything has to be high tech. you just can't have as heavy a bioload as something with active filtration options.  🙂

Thanks for the help. I'm figuring I will buy a media basket to run floss and carbon. I'll look into it a little more and see what will be best. I'm thinking another clown and possibly a small goby as far as stocking goes, so I feel like some more filtration will be helpful.

Used a DSLR camera for the first time in my life today and snagged some pictures after moving the toadstool and doing a water change. Really liking the way everything is starting to come fill in.

List for future stocking:

-Fill in Zoa Garden (Front Rock)

-Fill in Euphyllia Garden (Bottom Left)

-Acan Lord in Zoa Garden

-Monti Cap

Going along with all of that, I’m positive that both heads of my hammer definitely split since I first got it...

Thank you very much! I’m loving the hammer, last time I had one it didn’t grow the entire time it was in my tank (over a year). Now I’m just hoping it keeps growing like this.

We already got out of the $250 deposit on our dog, I really don’t feel like paying pet rent on a 10 gallon tank 😂

Adding a monti cap and a rainbow infusion polyp later this week. Goblins on fire started growing a new head already too.

Finally got them glued down:

Turning 21 this weekend so I'm already dreading this work week. Here's some pictures of the tank from earlier today:

Does anyone have any advice on where to place a monti cap in my tank?

Here are the 3 spots I’m thinking, but I’m real worried about shadowing:

B,  outward towards the front   to have enough room to grow out and plate. You could always put lower light corals under it.

Thanks, happy early birthday to you too! Do you think it will shade out the toadstool there? I know they don’t need much light.

Thanks, I'm just glad its on a Friday night 😂

It might once it grows out a little but the toadstool will bend and find its light.  The C area would be good for higher light coral. I think in A it would take up too much reef estate.

Yeah I’m feeling pretty lucky mines falling on a Saturday this year. How old are you gonna be?
