Gulf Coast Green Stuff

Anyone know what this is and if it’d be safe to put in a refugium or even the display tank?

I live about two miles from the Gulf Coast Ocean in a small town right outside of Houston Texas. Was on my way to the fish store just to browse and decided to just look along the shoreline instead and found some seaweed or algae or something...not really sure how this is classified. I glued a patch to a rock just to get some scale and show how it floats when submerged and anchored.

Where I live there’s TONS of the stuff and it pulls right off the rocks.

Thanks!

The thicker one kind of looks like seagrass. The other looks filamentous to me. I probably wouldn't risk it but I honestly don't know what it is for sure. Might have to worry about temp tolerance as well. The safer option would be to just get the tried and true stuff it shouldn't set you back too much.
