Magnet prices are crazy and made the thing too expensive on both ends. We are working on a new design. Otherwise check out Oceanbox they may carry a magnetic version for the 50. 2 Quote Link to comment

In the bag......🤫 Forbidden \/\/R@$$€ for my size tank. Some CUC (that was my intention when I walked in my LFS but walked out with bunch of crap🤗). HOB filter is a deception play for my enemies☠️ Strategy stays secret. BTW still not sure if I’m in at this point. And, I have leak tested this tank and it’s EXACTLY 2.5 gallons. Not sure why it says 3 on the box.🙄 1 Quote Link to comment
seabass
So I did find an AquaClear 70 in my equipment graveyard. I measured just over 11 cups (or about 0.7 gallons). So the AC 20, 30, and 50 are allowed (the 70 is not). 2 1 Quote Link to comment

But that will depend how you are going to setup/arrange that filter. AC was going to be my secret weapon 🥺but seems like a lot of guys liked this idea. It’s a great little filter. seabass
AC50 inTank accessories: https://intankaquatics.com/shop-by-tank/aquaclear/aquaclear-50/ AC30 inTank accessories: https://intankaquatics.com/shop-by-tank/aquaclear/aquaclear-30/ AC20 inTank accessories: https://intankaquatics.com/shop-by-tank/aquaclear/aquaclear-20/ These filters are all the same height, so they accept the same heaters. I believe these heaters fit the inTank media baskets; however, there are other heaters available that would fit in these filters. Obviously you don't need a 75W, or even a 50W heater for this pico. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Friendly
5w per gallon...so no more than 15w is really needed. I try to go for double the wattage so the heater doesn't overwork itself. Quote Link to comment
seabass
I think I'll be using my old 7W heater. But I agree, 15 - 25W should be plenty (especially with a top). Quote Link to comment
