Grantp611 Posted February 27, 2019 Share Posted February 27, 2019 Hey everyone, I’m wondering if anyone could identify what is encrusting around my war coral. It’s a hard, almost stony structure. Pictures are below, any info would be greatly appreciated! The war coral seems to not want to encrust where it is.. it’s been there for a couple months Quote Link to comment

I’ll post some better ones when I get home later but yes it almost feels skeletal I can barely scratch it with my nail. I thought sponge too because it looks like valves are coming out of the sides but I’ve never heard of such a hard sponge. Thanks for the reply 1 Quote Link to comment

I was searching around and apparently there are hard sponges. I would just scrape it off if it’s irritating the coral. Quote Link to comment
