Mike P
Went to the grand opening of the big little fish store in Dallas today and picked up some new frags at a great deal. The store was awesome and everything looked healthy. All live stock was 25% off 🤗 so I picked up 2 bumble bee snails at $2.25 each, Duncan frag at around $20, acan frag $11.25, and galaxea frag $11.25. Seemed like good deals to me 1 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
nice stuff! I don't think that is an acan though, favia maybe? 2 Quote Link to comment

Honestly I forgot what the name of it was by the time I got him, it was super early in the morning and my dog had kept me up all night. It does have sweeper tentacles at night. It was either favia or acan but I think your right about it being a favia Quote Link to comment
Mike P
Maybe these are better pictures, caught my halloween hermit named Freddy chillin by the galaxea not sure what he was doing but he didn’t seem to be picking at it. By the time I tried to get the picture of the favia/ acan (still not sure exactly what it is) the long sweepers where no longer out 1 Quote Link to comment

They are super mean with long sweeper tentacles. Mine is one of the meanest corals in my tank. Quote Link to comment

Yes that’s an sps skeleton in the sand I was going to get rid of it but Freddy (Halloween hermit) likes to sit on all the time, I guess some good algae grows on it that he likes to munch on 1 Quote Link to comment

Mike P
Here’s a front shot of my tank, not much going on even though I have had it set up since October of 2017. Had a few issues and lost some fish and corals. Now everything is starting to look good again and the terrible cyano outbreak I had is going away thanks to the prodibio nano kit I got for Christmas and some other changes I made 2 Quote Link to comment

Thank you, since he is a Halloween hermit and I got him in October I thought Freddy was an appropriate name lol. He’s always cleaning stuff 2 Quote Link to comment

They even had sea horses 1 Quote Link to comment
Mike P
So far the galexea has not had its sweepers out but the favia or acan has. Looks like it’s far enough away from everything to not do any damage. 2 Quote Link to comment
Mike P
Edited photo to make it look like the corals from WWC lol 😜😂 Quote Link to comment

The cyano started in the sand and had spread to the live rock, everything is much better now Quote Link to comment
Mike P
Freddy back when the cyano was really bad, he would work on it a bit Quote Link to comment
