Ummwhy
Hello everyone! I started a quarantine tank, and I can’t figure out what this slimy stuff is? Just a tub, live sand, mangrove seedling, pump, and heater. Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Bacterial bloom. Do you dose any carbon, such as NOPOX, vodka, or vinegar? Quote Link to comment
Ummwhy
Nope, is that something to try? Quote Link to comment

No, most cases of bacterial blooms are caused by excess carbon in the water which come from dosing carbon. I don't know anything about your tank, so I'll just say it's most likely a nutrient import/export problem. Less feeding and a better way to get nutrients out of the water is something I'd try. Ummwhy
Just a tub, live sand, mangrove seedling, pump, and heater. No live stock. Just ordered a cheap corner filter to go in there also Quote Link to comment
